Auburn Public Library to host 'Exploring Our Linguistic Identities'

AUBURN, Ala.- The Auburn Public Library will host “Exploring Our Linguistic Identities” on Saturday, Oct. 7, from 2 to 4 p.m. The event will bring the community together to engage in exploration, reflection and dialogue about language, culture and identity.
Dr. Iulia Pittman, professor of German and linguistics at Auburn University, and Dr. Jamie Harrison, associate professor of English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) Education at Auburn University, will guide participants through an engaging exploration to discover new ways of understanding their linguistic identities, make connections with other community members and situate themselves in the larger global linguistic and cultural context.
